One OK Rock is a Japanese rock-band with 4 members. I didn’t know them until I heared Han Jisung mention their song “We are” at the Lee Mujin’s service. Han did sing a chorus from the song and I thought I really need to check out this group. So the first song was “WE ARE” live version from the Ambition tour. Seeing them perform for (I think) 60.000 people… and everyone did sing with them. Wow the vibe they give is really really humble and so good!!
When I saw they teamed up with Ed Sheeran for the song “Renegades” I loved the song because it was so good, with some good lyrics… They have a lot of songs with lyrics about equality and discrimination. Some of you might know I have a really big place in my hearth for artist who try to tackle “taboo” topics in their lyrics. Music is so damn good for your soul. When you see the emotion in the lyrics and how the artist performs the songs, you kind of see where the artist came from. Or what they had to go trough to reach the top!
When you search for some older songs from One OK Rock it has loads of Linkin Park influences and some harder rock music. I really love how they mix the Japanese language with English so the listeners from other countries could just understand enough to sing the songs with them. One OK Rock is (from what I saw on Youtube) A GREAT LIVE BAND! I really hope to see them live one time!
