First song of the CHRISTMAS EVEL ALBUM of StrayKids is the title track called Christmas EVEL. It’s a clever wordplay on CHRISTMAS EVE and EVIL.
1) Christmas Evel
In the beginning of the Music video they’re referring back to the NO EASY Trailer (the album before this Christmas project). In this TRAILER they are telling people the world is under attack by the NOISE MONSTERS!!! When you see the trailer for the NO EASY album you will enjoy the acting and funny side of the members. In this video they say SANTA lost his voice from the sound monster attacks, so STRAYKIDS have to be the substitute for Santa.
In this song the boys talk about how everyone is hyping up Christmas but in stead of fun they only see the downsides to Christmas. like for example: It’s freezing cold — The snow is beautiful until cars destroy the beautiful picture and make some ICE MARKS on the street that are really slippery and much more (check out the song with lyrics it’s funny and so amazing). Because it’s SKZ they don’t make an ordinary Christmas song… This song is filled with loads of great amazing rap parts and some amazing vocals! They even add some funny moments when they exit the shop and everyone has a “hero” shot and everyone is freezing cold, but when they come to Hyunjin it will have a glow and an AURA around him. It’s so funny they use stuff like that in their music videos. Later in the song when they are delivering presents to a house a small girl was awake and went into the living room. She yelled: YOU ARE NOT SANTA! and in stead of SKZ telling the story they just use their greeting as a group: STEP OUT, WE ARE STRAYKIDS!! It’s so funny imho.
2) StrayKids – Winterfalls
When StrayKids release a “slower more emotional”-Song you already could guess who wrote this song: It’s HAN. That guy really needs to have so much empathy. He is an Idol from young age and never went to any relation or break-up, by watching K-drama’s and Webtoons and Anime he could think how people feel when going trough this kind of stuff!!!! He is an amazing songwriter. This song is really about missing the one person you love in your life! Like the first Verse by Han and Hyunjin:

Everything has changed besides myself
I get so lonely that it hurts so much
I’m getting lonelier to the point it hurts

This song and video really shows the longing to someone special and the grey feeling when you lost someone like that in your life!
(small side note I REALLY LOVE THE SPACE BOOTS I.N. is wearing in this video) The Styling in this video is also AMAZING, they all look really classy and still have their own twist to their outfits.
3) StrayKids – 24 to 25
This is more of a normal Christmas song made by StrayKids. The video starts off with a NETFLIX INTRO. This year they are trying to release kind of SKZ-FLIX they told us in the STEP OUT SKZ PERFORMANCE 2022. (watch out the video contains spoilers if you are a NEW STAY)
The concept of the 24 to 25 music video is a really wholesome video! They invite you in to celebrate Christmas with the boys! They sing about how lovely the time is with Christmas! WOW THOSE VOCALS!!! Even Changbin has some really great high notes! The clever wordplay on 24 to 25 (december) Bae, JUST STAY WITH ME. Really nice when you see they mention the fandom! Felix is baking cookies for all the fans! Chan is reading a book for us! Han and Lee Know are casually watching a movie with popcorn! I.N. is working on some new music! and Then they all have so much fun in the snow outside! In this time of the year you can not go without listening to Christmas music.
For my choices all these 3 songs are amazing for the Christmas time!!!

Twice – Merry and Happy
This is a more sweet and cute concept because Twice songs tent to be more cute for the girlgroups in K-pop. But this song has so much Christmas spirit in it! I really like Twice, the girls are so wholesome and after watching SIXTEEN (reality survival show they where formed in) and SEIZE THE LIGHT (youtube documentary about their first world tour) I really have even more respect for the girls! The girls have gone trough so much and I hope NO COMPANY IN Kpop or at other parts of the world would use the format of the SIXTEEN SURVIVAL SHOW.
Going back to the song:
When you watch the TIME TO TWICE content you will also see the group does do a SECRET SANTA every year! The video clip is a compilation of the girls having cool SECRET SANTA moments and moments they dress the house in a Christmas style. Making food for the dinner and just have so much fun with each other. The song itself is so much wholesome. Just be happy and be with people you like and have so much fun with friends and family!

2) NMIXX – FUNKY GLITTER CHRISTMAS
When you ask me: what is the best vocally girlgroup at this moment…
I can only say NMIXX they bring out amazing songs but the genre is MIXPOP and I do know a lot of people don’t like it. In a lot of the small discography of NMIXX they use to switch up the genre of a song a few times. When you talk about vocal skills I really think NMIXX had 7 members who could be the main vocal in other groups. Now just a moment a go the company told Jinni will not be part of NMIXX anymore (I know there is an explanation but I tend not to look for it, because you can only find stuff that hurt peoples) So they will continue as a 6 member group. My favorite of the group is: Lily with a close second place for Heawon. Both of those 2 girls are the “main” vocals of the group and can sing really amazing! They also did a cover for the song SURVIVOR from DESTINY’s CHILD. Both girls are also really funny and still so HUMBLE!
For their Christmas song they made a FUNKY Christmas song and it’s so much fun! This song combines a funky beat with all the vocals of the girls! For the video clip you can see them having fun getting ready for Christmas!
